One Year Doctor's Appointment

Kayla had her one-year doctor's appointment last week. She weighs 19.5 pounds and it 28 inches tall. One year marks a lot of changes. She drinks whole milk now and really likes it! She is facing forward in the car now too. She is out of the infant carrier and is in a convertable car seat. I put them in the cars yesterday. Well, actually I put the Evenflo in my car yesterday. I tried to put the Britax in Ryan's car and I couldn't find the LATCH locks on the carseat. Now granted is was starting to get dark but according to the directions the locks are hiding in a secret compartment somewhere. I couldn't find the sectret compartment so the carseat is just sitting in his car right now. I'll finish installing it today before we go out.

Elmo's Chair

Kayla did the cutest thing today. After dinner, we were in her room playing and she has an Elmo doll that has a little blue chair that he sits on. The chair was in her room and she picked it up and showed it to me and I told her that it's Elmo's chair and to go give it to Elmo. With the chair in hand, she walked out of her room, walked down the hall to the living to where Elmo was and put the chair on his head. So funny! I guess next time I need to specify that the chair goes under Elmo!

No More Crawling

Kayla no longer crawls at all. She only walks to where she wants to go. Sometimes she falls after taking only 4 or 5 steps, but she just gets right back up and does it again.
